Halloween classics x drugstore glam

I love a drugstore. I especially love a drugstore during Halloween. There’s something nostalgic about strolling the aisles during the spooky season—it feels like a mini treasure hunt for unexpected, creative finds.

You never know when or where inspiration strikes for Halloween cosmetics product photography. I grew up obsessed with Clinique ads from the 90's (think macro hero product shot on white) and drew upon those iconic images while adding a fun, seasonal spin.

In this Halloween-themed series, I paired classic props with cosmetics for a playful twist on product photography. A witch finger proudly shows off a fresh manicure, a plastic spider crawls across a mascara wand, and vampire fangs take a bite out of blood-red lipstick. Each pairing captures the Halloween spirit, making it ideal for spooky beauty photography and Halloween-inspired product photography ideas.

What’s your surprise source of product photography inspiration these days?
